Keyboard Repair

This repair will service the keyboard of your MacBook. In the majority of cases, the keyboard will fail due to liquid damage, and will result in one or more keys not working properly. We do not need to replace the entire top case, which often includes the battery and trackpad. Instead, we separate the keyboard from the top case and replace it with a brand new part, resulting in a much more affordable repair.

If there are symptoms below that apply to your MacBook, it could have a broken keyboard.

•Your MacBook does not respond to one or more keys being pressed down
•One or more keys seem to be permanently held down
•Erratic typing/symbols appear instead of letters
•Your MacBook does not start up

These are likely indications of a keyboard issue but this list is not exhaustive and other components can cause similar problems. We will test prior to repairing to determine the necessary repair.

All keyboard repairs include a 90-day warrantee.

Battery Repair

This repair will service the battery of your MacBook. If your battery has stopped being able to hold a charge, its capacity to hold a charge has become significantly diminished or the battery is not performing normally, this repair may suit you. We will remove the old battery and replace it with a brand-new, genuine Apple battery replacement. In more certain MacBook models the battery is attached to the top case with a strong adhesive, forcing certain repair providers to needlessly replace the whole top case assembly. We will take the time to isolate the battery and install a new replacement, reducing waste and making the repair significantly more affordable.

If there are symptoms below that apply to your MacBook, it could require a battery replacement.

•Only starts up with the charger connected or not at all
•The battery capacity is significantly diminished
•There is a “replace battery” warning that appears on your computer if you click on the battery icon in the menu bar
•The battery does not charge
•Your MacBook does not recognize the battery
•Recent liquid damage
•The trackpad is bulging out of the top case

These are likely indications of a battery issue but this list is not exhaustive and other components can cause similar problems. We will test prior to repairing to determine the necessary repair.

All battery repairs include a 90-day warrantee.

I/O Board Repair

Most Retina MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models have a discrete I/O (input-output) board. This is a small component in your MacBook that houses additional ports, such as USB, thunderbolt, HDMI, Audio. If this board fails, it can cause the ports not to work, but in some instances it can cause your whole MacBook to stop working.

If there are symptoms below that apply to your MacBook, it could require an I/O board repair.

•Your MacBook has recently been exposed to liquid or a very humid environment
•MacBook does not charge
•MacBook does not turn on
•Certain ports or inputs do not work
•Your MacBook does not start up
•No green/orange light visible when charger is plugged in
•The battery does not charge
•Your MacBook shuts down spontaneously
•One or more ports (USB, headphone jack, etc.) do not work

These are likely indications of a I/O board issue but this list is not exhaustive and other components can cause similar problems. We will test prior to repairing to determine the necessary repair.

All storage drive replacements include a 90-day warrantee.

MISCELLANEOUS

There are many small components in a MacBook that rarely require replacement, but can break nonetheless. This includes but is not limited to: Flex cables, DC-In boards, wireless cards, fasteners, fans, speakers, display hinges, microphones, bottom cases, bottom case feet, keyboard backlighting and CD/DVD drives.

Pricing for miscellaneous components are evaluated on a case-by-case basis, since they often coincide with other repairs, and are accordingly discounted. All miscellaneous component repairs include a 90-day warrantee.
